On May 21, 2005 Vajravarahi Buddhist Centre opened its doors for the first time to the general public for a Spring Fair. Hundreds of people from the city of Preston flocked to enjoy the momentous fund-raising event. In addition to an extensive rummage sale, happy attendees enjoyed face painting, Reiki sessions, Indian head massage, free meditation sessions, games, barbecue, cakes and pastries, prizes, and more! Vajravarahi's sangha pulled together to form a fantastic team that spelled "success" for the event. The money raised will be used towards renovating a gompa and for much needed equipment for the World Peace Cafe, which will be open to the public sometime in the future. A great time was had by everyone.
